What is Lagree Fitness all about?

Lagree Fitness uses a total body conditioning method created by Hollywood celebrity fitness guru, Sebastien Lagree. Lagree is credited with shaping celebrity bodies including Sofía Vergara, Kim Kardashian, Ivanka Trump, Jennifer Aniston, Vanessa Hudgens, just to name a few! At K-Kore we use the Lagree method and equipment.

 

What if I’ve never done Lagree before?

The Lagree method is suitable for all ages, sizes, genders and athletic abilities and we offer modifications to suit everyone’s needs. It is low impact and easy on the joints, however don’t be fooled – it’s intense! During class, it’s normal for the muscle group you’re working to shake. That’s a good thing! K-Kore does offer a MegaKore Basics class each Sunday at 11am, however this is optional and you are welcome to join any MegaKore class.

 

How do I sign up for my first MegaKore class?

To sign up you will need to choose your first class by clicking here and purchase your introductory offer of  3 classes for $50. The classes will be valid for  2 weeks from booking your first class. For your first class, please arrive 10 minutes early so we can show you the Megaformer and how it all works.

 

Is the MegaKore class a good workout for men?

Yes! K-Kore’s MegaKore class is a highly effective full-body workout and conditioning system for both men and women. Remember Ben Stiller’s ripped physique when he played a narcissistic action hero in Tropic Thunder? That washboard stomach was courtesy of the Lagree workout.

 

I’m not comfortable doing a group class, can I book a private session?

You most definitely can, however most people do just fine in our small group classes as our trainers make sure everyone is training safely by using good form.  Should you still have concerns, suffer from an injury, a severe medical condition or have not been exercising for a long period then please either book a private class here or contact us for more details.

 

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothes you can stretch and move in. Something similar to what your would normally wear to a yoga or pilates class would be perfect. At K-Kore, we also require grip socks in all of our classes and private sessions in order to maintain the cleanliness of our studio. Not only are you able to grip the Megaformer better with your feet, this also makes it easier to do the exercises properly. Grip socks are available for purchase here at the studio, but you are also more than welcome to bring your own grip socks.

 

Do you have lockers and showers?

We have cubbies in the front of the studio for you to store your belongings. We have a toilet and bathroom. We do not have showers.

 

How many calories will I burn during class?

Lagree estimates that an average-sized woman can burn more around 500-700 calories during 45 minute class.

 

How many times a week should I come?

We recommend 2-3 classes per week to gain the  best results, however it all depends on what other training you are involved in. It is important to listen to your body and all enough time for your muscles to properly recover and repair.

 

How does the waitlist work?

If a class you want is fully booked please sign up for the waiting list. Add your name to the waitlist by clicking WAITLIST alongside the class you wish to take and you will be notified via an automated email as soon as a spot becomes available.

 

What’s the cancellation policy?

Cancellations/Rescheduling classes need to be made more than 8 hours prior to your class beginning (morning or evenings). We understand sometimes unforeseeable circumstances can arise, but we have to be strict, fair and consistent with all clients therefore NO exceptions will be made. If you cancel within the 8 hour window you will lose your class credit. If you are on an unlimited membership a LATE CANCEL fee of $10 will apply. A no show fee of $15 will apply for all clients. Late cancel and no show fees will be charged to the card on file (a valid credit card must be kept on file at all times).

 

Can I still come to a MegaKore if I’m pregnant?

If you have been attending regular MegaKore classes with us before pregnancy then it’s absolutely OK to continue as long as you feel comfortable. Our trainers will provide you with modifications to ensure you are still getting a good workout!

If the Megaformer is new to you, we do not recommend starting during pregnancy. Please come back to us post-pregnancy.
